This week in my kitchen - 10

Buongiorno!

Good afternoon! Let's come back to old habits, welcome to our weekly date with my kitchen, with a little bit of craft. How the same, I'm joining Heather's blog hop.

Thanks to Lella, I made these delicious courgettes for winter, my husband loved them and they are perfect to get over with the large amount of this vegetable that summer brings.
For my english speaking friends, here the recipe:
1 kg courgettes, cubed
2 cups olive oil
1 cup white wine
2 cups wine white vinegar
2 onionion, thiny sliced
12 sage leaves
1 rosemary spring
2 whole garlic cloves
2 tablespoon sugar
salt to taste
Oregano if you like it

Bring to boil oil, vinegar, wine, salt, sugar and herbs. When boiling, add onions and courgettes and let them cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the fire and let them cool in the pan, covered.
Put in clean jars to store for winter or in a box in the fridge to eat quickly ^_^. Enjoy it!!

Serata Tex Mex: fajtas di pollo, senza peperoni, perché Marco li odia - Tex Mex dinner: chicken fajtas, without peppers because Marco hates them

Serata greca: handmade gyros con handmade tzatziki - Greek dinner: handmade gyros  with handmade tzatziki sauce

Funghi porcini!!! Non trovati nel bosco, ma comprati al supermercato ;-) - Porcino mushrooms, not found in wood, but buyed at the supermarket ;-)

E parlando di craft... And talking about craft...

Cuscini, stoffa comprata a Pozza di Fassa - cushions, fabric buyed at Pozza di Fassa

e un portasacchetti - and a bag-holder

We are back to our usual life after holidays, with this strange summer and its weather so moody. Daddy is back to the journal and Tommaso and me are at home with our dogs, cats and plants, spending our time in a lot of nice ways.
Unfortunately, we also have the grounded suspicion that the artisan to whom we ordered our shutters is cheating us, because he pocketed a large advance and the he desappeared. We hope to have our shutters or our money, but this is so depressing, both ethically and economically... there is so much deceitfulness in this world!

Incrociate le dita per noi... un abbraccio!
Finger crossed for us... a big hug!

I'm so sorry to hear about the artisan cheating you--we have been in that position, and it just stinks. Good luck!

Otherwise, it looks like domestic bliss! (Funny, I resisted domesticity until middle age when I was swamped with work, now I love it!)

Oh poor thing. I'm sorry to hear about your problem with the window shutters. How sad that someone can do that to you. I hope he returns and finishes his work. My fingers are crossed for you.

Everything in you kitchen looks good. Thanks for sharing the pickle recipe. I never know what to do with courgettes and love pickles.

I hope that you have fun with enjoying the rest of the summer with little Tommaso.

how can people be so deceitful and mean? I hope he has a very very bad case of guilt and returns to do the shutter job.

in spite of that....you've managed to have such lovely things coming from your kitchen!!!! thanks for sharing the recipe!!! always too many zucchini around this time of year! (no---never TOO many....just the right number, right?)

Those zucchinis look so good. Mine are starting to come in now. I love mushrooms too! There is a recipe called garden orzo that uses zucchini and mushrooms.
